TitaHAP Prosthesis Types

The TitaHAp prosthesis type Vario Partial (PORP) and TitaHAp prosthesis type Vario Total (TORP) are both middle ear prostheses designed by EON Meditech.

TitaHAp Prosthesis Type Vario Partial (PORP): This prosthesis is made of CP Titanium Medical Grade & HAp (Hydroxyapatite). It is coated with a thin layer of Hydroxyapatite (HAP) on the top surface of the Disk-Cylinder to enhance fixation to the Tympanic Membrane „. The HAP coating provides a firmer grip of the prosthesis to the TM and acts as an intermediate layer between the TM and the titanium disc. It offers excellent biocompatibility, light weight, and good flexibility, which makes it comfortable for surgeons to implant. It is suitable for partial ossicular replacement surgery.
TitaHAp Prosthesis Type Vario Total (TORP): This prosthesis is also made of CP Titanium Medical Grade & HAp. It is designed for total ossicular replacement surgery. Like the PORP, it has a thin layer of Hydroxyapatite (HAP) coating on the top surface of the Disk-Cylinder to improve fixation to the Tympanic Membrane „. The HAP coating enhances the prosthesis™s grip on the TM, provides excellent biocompatibility, and reduces the risk of extrusion. It is known for its good flexibility and comfort for surgeons during implantation.
