Endo Clinch Grasping Forceps
a type of laparoscopic instrument used in minimally invasive surgeries for grasping and manipulating tissue. These forceps are commonly designed with a 5mm diameter shaft and a working length of 300mm to 330mm, suitable for procedures in gynecologic, general, urologic, thoracic, and endoscopic surgeries. They are typically made from medical-grade stainless steel and feature an atraumatic serrated jaw design to minimize tissue damage while ensuring a secure grip. The fenestrated design allows tissue to enter the jaws, preventing slippage during surgery.
Many models are reusable and autoclavable, featuring a 3-part dismantlable structure (insert, outer tube, and handle) for easy cleaning and sterilization. A ratchet mechanism is often included to allow the surgeon to securely hold tissue without constant hand pressure. Some versions offer a 360-degree rotatable handle, enabling precise positioning without releasing the grip. The ergonomic handle design aims to improve surgeon comfort and control during long procedures. These forceps are manufactured in India by various companies, including Endonest Medical Systems LLP, Veera Surgicals, IM Instrument, Neelam Enterprises, GERATI, ESC Medicams, and others. They are available in standard sizes and can be custom-designed to meet specific customer requirements.
