Types of Colostomy Bags

There are two main types of colostomy bags:

Two-Piece Pouch: The bag and flange are separate, but can be connected. The flange can be left on the skin for several days, and the bag can be removed and disposed of several times a day.

Drainable Bags: These need to be replaced every 2 to 3 days and are suitable for people with particularly loose stools.
